A native of Jackson, MS, King has been an artist since early childhood when her parents recognized her talent and nurtured it through a diverse arts education and opportunities. After graduating from Mississippi School of the Arts, King attained her BFA in Dance Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her professional and academic careers have seen her in public school stages, university studios, competition ballrooms and lecture halls. Determined to be a life-long learner, educator and creator, King is currently pursuing an MFA in Choreography from Jacksonville, University.
