A message from the Mississippi Museum of Art:
In years past, the Mississippi Museum of Art has hosted a Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony. This year, to accommodate the extensions of deadlines and all the delays we’ve encountered, the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers and Scholastic national organizers have encouraged all regions to reimagine or postpone regional ceremonies as they make decisions to do the same with the National Ceremony.
This year, the Mississippi Museum of Art will host a Scholastic Art Award Winners Open House presented by Atmos Energy. On the evening of Friday, April 12 from 4:30 – 6:30 pm, Scholastic Art Award winners and their families, friends, and educators are invited to the Museum to celebrate the achievements of this year’s winners. There will be light refreshments, live music, and open galleries to enjoy the Gold Key winning works on view. Students and educators can also pick up their award certificates and pins.
