The Mississippi School of the Arts would like to recognize Gabby Kyzar as our STAR Student for the 2025–2026 school year, as awarded by the Mississippi Economic Council, sponsor of the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program.
Established in 1965, the STAR program honors outstanding students and teachers across Mississippi, representing approximately the top 1% of high school seniors in the state.
Each STAR Student is asked to designate the teacher who has made the greatest impact on their academic journey. Gabby selected Dr. Robert Brooks, our Theatre teacher, as the 2026 STAR Teacher.
