The Brookhaven Trust donated proceeds from its annual fundraiser, “Taste of the Trust” to the Mississippi School of the Arts (MSA) Lampton Auditorium project.

Lampton Auditorium has been a historic cornerstone of our community since 1913 and a significant venue for both the Mississippi School of the Arts (MSA) and the city of Brookhaven.

Since its inception in 1991, the Brookhaven Trust has played a crucial role in preserving the history and culture of our downtown area, particularly through the project that started it all, the restoration of Lampton Auditorium. Their efforts not only saved and brought this beloved space back to life in 1995 but also ensured its legacy within the community when it was donated to the Mississippi School of the Arts in 1999.

“We sincerely appreciate the Trust’s continued support of MSA and Lampton Auditorium. As we look toward the future, we believe the auditorium can be transformed into an even more vibrant hub for artistic expression, ensuring that it meets the needs of future productions, our MSA students and the thousands of audience members who will enjoy performances on that stage for years to come” added MSA Executive Director, Dr. Suzanne Hirsch.
