Congratulations to MSA Literary students who were honored for their submissions to the Seventeenth Annual University of Mississippi Writing Competition!

Katelynn Kennedy, whose poem “One-Eared Painter in the Asylum” is the 3rd place winner for the high school poetry category.

Crislyn Lance, whose short story “Story Keeper” is the 3rd place winner for the high school short story category.

Cooper Brumfield, whose short story “The Bus Driver” is also the 3rd place winner for the high school short story category.

According to the program competition staff, it was an immensely competitive year, so it is an honor to have their pieces selected by the committee. All award recipients received a scholarship packet for their summer programs in the mail in addition to receiving their award certificate.
