Mississippi School of the Arts celebrates the visual arts department for capturing 135 Scholastic Visual Aarts awards for the 2023 Regional Scholastic Art Competition. The department continues to excel in the creative field with direct instruction and available resources. The department instructors are Maurice Calvert and Brandy Johnson. American Visions Nominees
Katherine Daleke and Taylor Herron received Gold Key and American Visions nominations for their work, The Rendlesham Forest Incident and Poolside. Both works will be juried at the national level.
