Vocal music students from The Mississippi School of the Arts (MSA) recently competed at the Spring Conference of the Mississippi National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) held at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS.

Winners from MSA include: High School Women Classical – Kaley Smith of Meridian – 4th place and Ambie McCoy of Brandon – 3rd place. High School Men Classical – Lawrence Eubanks of Batesville – 3rd place and Christian Brumfield of Leakesville – 2nd place. High School Musical Theatre Women – Emma Crockett of Tupelo – 2nd place and Anna Scott McKinion of Saltillo – 1st place. High School Musical Theatre Men was a tie for 2nd place – Christian Brumfield from Leakesville and Thomas Nelson from Hattiesburg.

The National Association of Teachers of Singing celebrates the art of singing through a series of competitions and programs that are designed to showcase the talented singers and performers who are soon to be rising stars in the profession.
