Kristina Marie Darling is a poet, essayist, and critic. She earned a doctorate from the Poetics Program at SUNY–Buffalo and holds terminal degrees in writing from Columbia University and New York University’s Paris Writing Program. A former Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge, she is the author of more than forty books of poetry, criticism, and essays.

Dr. Darling’s work has appeared in major literary journals such as The Harvard Review, Poetry International, and The Kenyon Review, and her essays have been published in outlets including The New York Times and Poets & Writers. Her writing has received numerous honors, fellowships, and residencies from institutions including Yaddo, the American Academy in Rome, and the Whiting Foundation.

An editor, critic, and publisher, she serves as Editor-in-Chief of Tupelo Press and Tupelo Quarterly, and contributes to publications such as Publishers Weekly, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and The Best American Poetry. She has lectured widely on contemporary literature, poetics, and publishing at universities and cultural institutions around the world.

Born in the American Midwest, Dr. Darling now divides her time between Greece, Croatia, and Italy.
