Vershaune Stamps is a dedicated voice teacher and licensed esthetician from Jackson, Mississippi, whose journey reflects a deep love for both music and personal growth. A 2013 graduate of the Mississippi School of the Arts with a voice emphasis, Vershaune credits her time there as a turning point in her development. Under the guidance of Patton Rice, she began to see her voice in a new light. What she once limited to a few genres expanded into a fuller understanding of her classical abilities. With Mr. Pat’s mentorship, she strengthened her technique, broadened her musical perspective, and gained confidence in her artistic identity.
She continued building on that foundation at Tougaloo College, where she further developed her performance style and sense of artistry. In 2016, she was crowned Miss Tougaloo College, a meaningful achievement that gave her the opportunity to perform for the mayor of Jackson, Mississippi.
Vershaune has continued to grow as a performer, appearing in productions with New Stage Theatre and Mississippi Opera. As a voice teacher, she now draws from her own experiences to guide her students. Her teaching centers on encouragement, steady growth, and helping each singer discover and trust their unique voice.
Vershaune’s interest in skincare emerged through her work as a freelance makeup artist, where she discovered the joy of helping others feel confident and radiant in their own skin. This passion led her to earn her esthetician license from the Mississippi Institute for Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nails. She now owns and operates Face It Esthetics, a business dedicated to providing personalized skincare treatments that celebrate self-care and natural beauty.
In 2025, Vershaune won the national title of Ms. Plus America under her platform, titled “Mirror This”; a movement aimed at redefining beauty on a deeper level. In a society where beauty is often narrowly defined by trends and appearances, Mirror This encourages women to embrace their beauty through confidence, kindness, and authenticity. Through hands on makeup and skincare workshops, along with empowering events that help individuals through new or unique interests, the initiative equips women with practical tools for self care while nurturing self love and inner strength. By blending artistry with empowerment, Vershaune hopes to inspire women to see and celebrate their true beauty, not just in the mirror, but in every area of their lives.
