The Literary Arts department received results from the 2023 Scholastic Art and Writing Regional Competition. Students from the class have captured 121 total awards in this year’s competition. MSA’s Literary program instructor is Dr. Nadia Alexis. Critical Essays were submitted by English/Literature students, taught by Tobie Lambert.
The regional awards ceremony will be held April 16th at the Eudora Welty House, located in Jackson, Mississippi.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Awards give students opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships.
