Mississippi School of the Arts’ class of 2019 theatre major, Raylen Ladner, was recently spotted as the host for an “Inside State” episode, highlighting the university libraries and digital media center at Mississippi State University. After graduating MSA, Raylen continued her education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She is currently a student at Mississippi State University.
Students entering the Theatre program at Mississippi School of the Arts are able to work in stage performance and production. Collaborations with the Media Arts program provides additional training on camera with scriptwriters and filmmakers on hand. A career in theatre arts not only gives students scene training for film acting, but also provides voiceover training for on-air positions in radio, audio books and storytelling, podcasting and voiceover talent for digital animation. The career opportunities are near limitless.
