Junior dancers have explored a deep dive into the creative practice of making dances. Their work has paid off and we’re excited to share their journey with you.
Their concepts range from “Limerence”, “Crab Mentality”, “Individualism”, “Sculpture”, “Gifts and Release”, “Control—losing it or keeping it”, “The Stress of the Excluded”, and “Kalopsia—delusional views of reality”.
In addition to composing original solo and ensemble works, 15th. Repertory Dance Company learned historical solos and variations including modern works from Martha Graham, Doris Humphrey, Trisha Brown, Alvin Ailey and ballet works from Kitri, Raymonda—dream Variation, and the young maiden from La Fille Mal Gardee. A selection of these works will also be performed during our informal showcase.
