Kinetic Etchings is a contemporary dance and theater company based in Jackson, Mississippi, that uses movement to tell stories, create images, and connect with audiences. All members of the group have been trained in classical ballet, and the group’s aesthetic is heavily influenced by this background. The group’s shows consist of classical works adapted for younger audiences in its “Children’s Ballet” series. Kinetic Etchings also offers a Contemporary Dance series with original choreography. Additionally, the group performs and teaches Aerial Dance, which is circus-based art. The group’s work is highly adaptable to different events and spaces. Kinetic Etchings is available to teach arts-integrated workshops for K-12 grade, and dance and circus master classes for all ages. The group has performed and taught at elementary schools, community groups, churches, universities, and festivals.
